Health and Safety always comes first with Bulldog Hire, the safety of your children and other users as well as spectators is important to us and health & safety is an integral part of our business we do not 'cut corners' and we are proud of our reputation as a safe company. You may be able to find an inflatable slightly cheaper but why risk injury to your children or their friends by saving a few pounds.
You can download a full set of the Terms and Conditions & Safe Use of Inflatables using the link.
We have Risk Assessments for all our inflatables in addition we carry out Dynamic Risk Assessments on the day at every hire if you would like to see a copy of any of the risk assessments for the inflatable you are booking please ask when you book, or contact us to book and ask at the time.
We always check with the Met Office weather forecast the evening before hires and on the morning. If Your event is outdoors and the weather deemed unsafe due to heavy rain or high wind speeds then Bulldog Hire will contact you to cancel the Hire.
Set up and Inflation
On arrival our Operator will introduce himself and satisfy himself that a Responsible Adult is on hand to monitor the inflatable whilst in use. The operator will inspect the area the inflatable is to be erected. You will be given a copy of the terms and conditions and safe use of the inflatable to read through during set up, and will be asked to sign our copy to say you have read and understand the terms and conditions & Safe Use of the inflatable. However we would strongly advise you to download a copy now. Or alternatively read a copy online using this link Terms & Conditions Please feel free to ask any questions and our operator will gladly answer any concerns you may have on the day.
Testing and inspection
All our units are designed to conform to British and European safety standards and are therefore manufactured to BS EN:14960 and all carry a current PIPA Rpii certificate. See also (PUWER) further down the page.
It is dangerous to have insufficient anchorage to keep an inflatable secured to the ground when outdoors. Bulldog Hire has never relied on sandbags to hold down inflatables outside. Our inflatables are always anchored down using industry standard and approved steel stakes at all anchor points.
Hard surface Anchorage
We no longer do Bolt Downs and cannot lay an inflatable on Fake Grass.
We use Gibbons 1.5Hp Electric Blowers, which are the Industries leading inflatable blower, and are IP44 & IP55 certified. All our electrical leads are fitted with RCD circuit breakers, we also use approved sockets, and connectors. Should your event be on a large field with no electric power outlet available we can supply Gibbons, 5.5PH Petrol Engine Blower Please contact us for more information and to discuss your booking requirements. Petrol Blowers are for outdoor use only and cannot be used indoors.
All our Blowers, cables and leads are PAT tested in accordance with PUWER (provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998) Bulldog Hire is a reputable business and a responsible employer therefore we always work within Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all updates and revisions to date.
Bulldog Hire intend to ensure that you, your users and spectators have a safe and enjoyable time.
